Chongmen chōng mén · 冲门

Location. In the inguinal region, at the lateral end of the inguinal crease, lateral to the pulsation of the external iliac artery, level with the upper border of the pubic symphysis and 3.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

The name means "surge gate" — the point marks where the Spleen meridian leaves the abdomen and enters the thigh, classically described as a gate of passage. This is a naming convention, not a claim about effect.
