The three months of spring are called "releasing the old": heaven and earth begin to grow, and all things flourish. Sleep a little later at night (than in winter) and rise early, walk unhurriedly in the courtyard, loosen the hair and relax the body, so that the will may come to life.

Daily rhythm

The key note here is to keep warm rather than strip layers early. Sleep and rise early, walk unhurriedly and stretch gently, letting the body shift from gathering inward to opening out.

Keep the lower body and ankles warm, protect the neck with a scarf, and do not judge by midday warmth alone — cold snaps are still common.
